FOUND: A Frequent Customer Discount?

Found: Stalking The Shoegazer? A good place to start would be Sherman Cafe in Union Square, Somerville.  It’s a small, sunny, locally-owned cafe that features a wide array of hot and cold caffeinated beverages plus a menu of salads, sandwiches and soups.  The Shoegazer is particularly fond of the bacon-cheddar-green apple sandwich.  But the shining star of the Sherman selection would have to be their baked goods – all made in-house and each one incredibly fresh, soft and delicious.  If you can make a vegan cupcake taste good, then I am in awe.

What the Sherman usually doesn’t feature, however, is money on the ground.  Despite literally hundreds of visits, it was only last week that The Shoegazer finally made a find on the lightly stained hardwood floors of the Sherman.  Near the register was a wayward dollar bill, which quickly became wayward no more.

Location:  This dollar bill was folded in half and lying a few feet away from the counter and the baked goods display case at Sherman Cafe, Union Square, Somerville MA.

Source:  Clearly somebody who received change and fumbled the handoff to their pocket or purse.

Destination:  This dollar will remain at the Sherman Cafe for at least a short while longer.  It was spent there on one of their soft, chewy chocolate chip cookies, which taste like the output of a bakery staffed by God, Superman and Chuck Norris.
